Moores School of Music Concert Information and ticket line:

Unless otherwise indicated, all performances have open seating. Patrons with disabilities who require special accommodations should call 713.743.3313 24 hours in advance of performance. The University of Houston is an AA/EO institution.

Single ticket prices:

  $10 general admission
  $7 UH faculty, staff, and alumni
  $5 patrons over age 55 and students with a valid ID

Season subscriptions:

  $70 general admission
  $60 UH alumni
  $50 patrons over age 55 and students with a valid ID
  $40 UH faculty and staff

Subscriptions are good for admission to all MSM performances. Guest artist events are not included.


Concert Locations

Events take place in:

  The Moores Opera House at the Moores School of Music.
  Choral Recital Hall, Room 160 in the Moores School of Music.
  Dudley Recital Hall, in the Fine Arts Building (first floor) on the University of Houston Campus. ( Location information for the Fine Arts Building.)

 
  Driving directions to the Moores School of Music:

  Map:
  To reach the University of Houston from I-45 southbound, take the Cullen exit. From I-45 northbound take the Elgin/Cullen/Lockwood exit. Use UH Entrance 16, off Cullen to reach the Moores School of Music building and the Moores Opera House.

International Piano Festival

Celebrated for over 20 years as a breathtaking weekend with the world's greatest keyboard virtuosos and led by University of Houston Cullen Professor of Music Abbey Simon, one of the most recorded classical artists of all time.

 


Cynthia Woods Mitchell Center for the Arts

A programming alliance among five units within the University of Houston: the School of Art; School of Theatre; the Moores School of Music; the Creative Writing Program; and the Blaffer Gallery, the Art Museum of the University of Houston. The center presents interdisciplinary public events, artist residencies, and courses.

 


Moores Opera Center

The Moores Opera Center provides comprehensive operatic training as part of a voice program offering flexible baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral programs. The Center takes as its mission the training of young singers, coaches and conductors aspiring to places in the world as stage performers and teachers. The opera season includes four productions, each double-cast and performed with orchestra. The spectacular 800-seat Moores Opera House is recognized as one of the finest opera facilities in the United States.


Moores School of Music Jazz Festival

 


Preparatory and Continuing Studies

A non-credit, non-degree-granting program offering instruction to young and adult musicians in the Houston Community.

 


Texas Music Festival

A four-week residency program on the University of Houston campus under the guidance of distinguished artists from the Moores School of Music faculty, members of the Houston Symphony, and internationally recognized guest artists.
