Financial Assistance for Graduate Students:
A limited number of graduate assistantships, scholarships, and fellowships are available for outstanding graduate students in the Moores School of Music. Students interested in assistantships should submit a Moores School of Music Application for Teaching Assistantship.

Presidential/Cullen/Ehrhardt Fellowships: Selection and Nominating Process
Outstanding prospective graduate students applying for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the Moores School of Music may be selected for a University of Houston Presidential, Cullen, or Ehrhardt Fellowship. These two-year fellowships are highly competitive, and a limited number will be awarded university-wide to doctoral students exhibiting outstanding potential for academic and artistic success.
Students are nominated for these awards by a School of Music committee comprising the Director, the Associate Director, the Director of Graduate Studies, the Admissions and Scholarship coordinator, and a faculty member from the area of study in which the student has applied. The Director of Graduate Studies, with the faculty member from the area in question, prepares the nomination materials, including a cover letter of nomination, for the University of Houston Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, who makes the final award selections. |
